KenjiLeather is proud to introduce our new line of adjustable camera strap – DUPLEX. First edition limited to an edition of 100 pieces.
Re-imagined from scratch and reinventing every single component on our classic strap. From styling to material thickness, ring finishes and even coming up with our own adjustment component designed *Duplex Crown*
We start off with leather selection. Picking from a range of high quality Italian veg-tanned leather, we decided to go with the Classic black, Oliva dark green and Brunello brown.
After which, we decided on a final thickness of about 2mm which maintain a high tensile strength yet allowing the leather to be formable.
Not compromising on comfort, we went for a double skin side strap. Splitting two pieces of leather to suitable thickness then bonding both skin side together creating superb comfort, lightweight, extra tensile strength.
Moving on to metal components. We used black painted O’ring on both ends matched with black painted brass square ring and our Duplex Crown also in brass and black painted. The Beauty of the parts truly reveals when being used and abused. Scratches, dings and marks reveal the golden brass beneath and tells the photography journey of each photographer.
Finally, the leather attachment for the O’rings, square ring joint, leather washer on the straps are all hand-stitched with specially selected black waxed thread from Japan.
All this give birth to the DUPLEX, our new line of camera sling strap.
